Go on...be brave.
get your FLU SHOT...
When seeing a GP, think carefully about what tests and investigations you do OR do NOT need. The website http://www.choosingwisely.org.au/homemay answer your questions about your options.
We are a General Practice located in Wynyard, Tasmania.
The practice was established in December 2009. We shifted to Jackson Street site in March 2013.
Dose administration aids or Webster pack reviews
-many patients opt for the ease of having a pharmacist put their daily medications in blister packs.
-however for principles of safe medical practice we require ALL PATIENTS to have at least 6 MONTHLY reviews of their medication requirements and ongoing safety.
-having blister packs for medication administration does NOT remove the requirement to be seen regularly by a patients' GP.
The 2019 Government supplied vaccines are now in stock. Eligible patients can make an appointment with our Registered Nurses OR attend a flu clinic-an appointment IS needed.
