New HPV testing
From 1st January 2018 the old PAP smear test has been replaced by a new HPV test. The differences are that this test will start at age 25 and be 5 yearly instead of 2 yearly.
It is important that young women realise that if they are tested BEFORE age 25 the test cost charged by pathology companies will need to be paid for entirely by the patient.
